El Rastro madrileño es, sobre todo, recordar. Te vienen a la memoria días de mercadillo, ropa que alguna vez viste, discos que alguna vez oiste, antigüedades que alguna vez encontraste en trasteros desordenados y cientos de ocasiones en las que pensar: “yo tenía uno de esos”. En esas estaba, recordando y recordando, cuando me topé con la tienda que la marca Eturel tiene en la maravillosa calle de la Ruda. Una de esas bocacalles que desembocan en la Rivera de Curtidores y que la nutren de bares y de pequeños establecimientos tan importantes y necesarios como los centenarios puestos del mercadillo madrileño.
Eturel “son instintos”, en palabras del propio Eduardo Rodríguez Turel, creador de la marca con el que tuve el placer de charlar unos minutos antes de adquirir un maravilloso bolso-atillo de cuadritos rojos y verdes.
Eturel es la inspiración rural de una aventura nacida en Tembleque (Toledo) en 2016 “inspirándose en el mundo rural y en los tejidos que adornan las casas de sus vecinos”, que pretende rescatar “la vida del pueblo, las tardes al sol con las vecinas, la dureza entrañable del campo y la vida sin prisa”, que tanta falta nos hace en este principio de siglo alocado y ruidoso.
Eturel destaca los tejidos de siempre y 100% artesanos producidos en nuestro país y los combina con la modernidad urbana de esta ciudad que todo lo puede.
Eturel da vida nueva a los objetos que dormían arrinconados en la habitación de la historia colectiva de La Mancha y los convierte en productos de decoración propios de cualquier hogar moderno que se precie.
